New Sony Vaio leaked

I’m getting this.

The specs:

2.0 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, a 15.4″ display, 200GB hard drive and 4GB of memory all for around $600.

14.1″ display for $950

BluRay capable for a few hundred extra.

These have gone way down in price from the previous models. I wonder if they found some cheaper parts.

smart bots

Oh uh, tight, after years of hard work and technological advances, they got a robot to play the simplest game ever created. I’d like to see this thing beat me at Street Fighter, or Paper Mario.

Cooking roboto

Fancy a cooking robot to help you roll out a gourmet treat this Christmas? We have earlier told you about some of the finest humanoid robots, including the Chinese AIC-AI cooking robot that is capable of making Sichuan, Shandong and Canton cuisines along with thousands of Chinese dishes. But, for the Japanese food-lover, the multi-talented Motoman SDA10 from Yaskawa Electric is a perfect robot-servant that can grill okonomiyaki with manual precision. When done with grilling the dish, Motoman even puts it on a plate and applies condiments. Designed to operate independently alongside humans in the workplace, the 135-centimeter (4.5 ft) tall, 220-kilogram (480 lb) industrial robot has 15 joints — 7 in each arm and one in the torso — allowing a wide range of motion for the job, whether it be on the factory floor or behind the kitchen counter. The robot is on display at the International Next-Generation Robot Fair now underway in Osaka. The company reported a sales plan: 1,200 units/year for 2008, 2,400 units/year for 2009, 3,000 units/year for 2010 or after.

Thanks Born Rich

how to shop

I was reading this article today touting all of these Blu Ray players that are going to be available this holiday season for like $200. I’m sorry, am I missing something? When did getting a Blu Ray player become a viable option? Does it come with a Bose sound system? No. Can you even play video games with it? No. You can’t even entertain your niece for more than 45 minutes because that’s how long The Fox and the Hound is.

Tell you what, until Bose gets its shit together and releases a home theater with Blu Ray, get a PS3 like a man. It’s like $100 more and you get way more value, plus a great Blu Ray player included.

Blu Ray players. Come on. Here’s what I think of Blu Ray players:
